ENTER TO WATCH
Episode Length: 62 Episodes (~25 mins each) Dubbed Release Date: 1999-2001 IMDBIntro: A Hunter is one who travels the world doing all sorts of dangerous tasks. From capturing criminals to searching deep within uncharted lands for any lost treasures. Gon is a young boy whose father disappeared long ago, being a Hunter. He believes if he could also follow his father’s path, he could one day reunite with him. After becoming 12, Gon leaves his home and takes on the task of entering the Hunter exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death to become an official Hunter. He befriends the revenge-driven Kurapica, the doctor-to-be Leorio and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua in the exam, with their friendship prevailing throughout the many trials and threats they come upon taking on the dangerous career of a Hunter. Based on the manga by Togashi Yoshihiro. Im about 7 episodes in and its so addicting! Take Naruto (Season where they go through the 1st Exams) and take an Old School Anime like Fist of the North Star and smash them together. Yeah... its pretty epic. There's a new 2011 series out, a remake. But i wanted to watch the old version first. Have fun, Enjoy

I just Completed this Series Yesterday, i have to rate this 8/10! ITS SOOOO GOOOOOOODDDDDDD, take Naruto's Chunin Exam Storyline and give it more serious/darker "if you fuck up you die" story line that is known in this series as "The Hunters Exam", its packed full of Death (although its not as bloody as it could) and elaborate Twists, so much so that these 62 episodes came well together by the end. It does, however, kinda feel like the series ended a little TOO soon. After about episode 50ish, Gon says he wants to travel the world in hopes to finding his dad. It looks like it's going in that direction then it TOTALLY viers off and suddenly ends in a big huge final fight with an outlaw elite group known as the Spider Troupe. Although it ends there, i felt they did so in hopes they could go for another season, but Anime's either make or break according to the retailers/getting tv spots, they could very well have had either another project to work on or ran out of funding at the time. BUT there is good news, they've since made a new very similar yet different Hunter X Hunter (2011) (wiki link) that i plan to watch later after a couple more series are scratched off the "Animes to watch" list Edit: Read a couple Forums on the new Hunter X Hunter (2011) apparently there IS plans to continue where the 2001 version left off (which is currently nearing where the 2011 series is finishing up) they just want to get ahead on the Manga's before that happens. Same thing they've done with Naruto, and Bleach. If they were to continue right away, you'd get a buncha filler seasons. (which im a fan of honestly) but anyways, hope this sparks anyones interest on watching this whether you're a visitor or member Thanks for reading freaks
